Overview

The Indigenous Screen Office (ISO) is inviting Indigenous producers to apply to participate in TIFF: The Market, taking place during the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2026.

As TIFF launches its inaugural market, this new industry platform will bring together producers, broadcasters, streamers, distributors, financiers, sales agents, and industry leaders from Canada and around the world. TIFF: The Market offers opportunities to build meaningful industry relationships, advance projects, explore financing and distribution opportunities, and expand professional networks.

The ISO will support an Indigenous delegation to attend TIFF: The Market. Applicants may apply in one of two categories:

Out-of-Town Delegates

For producers whose primary residence is outside the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Selected delegates will receive:

  • A travel stipend to help offset transportation and accommodation costs.
  • Financial support toward the purchase of a discounted TIFF: The Market pass.

Local Delegates

For producers whose primary residence is within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Selected delegates will receive:

  • Financial support toward the purchase of a discounted TIFF: The Market pass, or reimbursement toward a pass already purchased.

Indigenous mid- to senior-level producers working in media production, television, and feature film are invited to submit their CV, current slate of projects, and a statement of interest outlining how participation in TIFF: The Market would benefit their career, company, and projects.

Applicants must:

  • Have a demonstrated track record as a producer.
  • Hold a minimum 51% ownership of a registered production company in Canada.
  • Submit only one (1) application per production company.

Please note that applicants to this call may also be considered for additional opportunities presented by the Indigenous Screen Office during TIFF 2026, including industry events, networking activities, and partner initiatives.

Applications close 5pm Pacific Time on August 12, 2026
