ISO’s work practices and policies are grounded in and informed by Indigenous knowledge(s) (IK), which means respecting Indigenous ways of knowing, seeing, doing, acting, and listening. We acknowledge, and strive to uphold the principles of respect, reciprocity, responsibility, and relevance in our working relationships.
Our Team
The Indigenous Screen Office (ISO) team is comprised of Indigenous professionals from different nations and regions across Canada.
Board of Directors
The ISO Board of Directors are Indigenous professionals each bringing a variety of skills, experiences and talents to the ISO. The ISO Board of Directors has been established to help ensure the successful launch and growth of ISO as an organization. The Board of Directors provides strategic consultation and support for the ISO, including the review of core objectives, strategic planning, administrative planning and communications. The Board of Directors is comprised of Indigenous screen and arts leaders.
Membership Circle
The ISO Membership Circle is an advisory group responsible for approving the annual report and incoming Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting. Members are recruited from a diversity of screen industries and practices, with regional representation set as a priority.
